Store update! With approvals from the city, our landlord is moving into the detailed design phase of our new building at 250 E. Broad St.  That means it is also time for us to get into the details of our store’s interior!

From the types and quantities of product we will offer to the operations of a successful prepared foods department and to the look and feel of the store, there are thousands of decisions that need to be made over the next several months.  To do this, co-ops need to hire experienced Store Designers.

The board has interviewed several design firms and is happy to announce we will be partnering with Seven Roots Group as store designer for our co-op!  Seven Roots has decades of experience designing stores, websites, strategies, kitchens and menus, brands, and operational processes for co-ops just like us.  Not only do they work with co-ops, they are one!  They really eat, sleep and breathe this stuff and we can’t wait to work with them.

We also need your help to make our store a success.  We need input from our community on what products and offerings are important to you!  What do you want to see on the shelves?  What features do you like or dislike about your current grocery store?  And how do you want to shop, socialize, and learn at your new co-op?

These are all important questions we will be asking during the information gathering stage of Seven Roots’ work.  Keep your eyes open for a survey linked on our website and available at our tabling events this summer!
