March Project Update

Developer Updates (Peron Development):

The developer’s construction teams, led by Boyle Construction, are continuing their site work. Electrical duct-bank to building is finished, the building wrap is nearing completion, EPDM (synthetic rubber) roof installation is nearing completion, and electrical rough-in is ongoing. The fourth floor plumbing and sanitary rough-in are ongoing.

Store Design Updates:

The co-op’s project management team remains working with our design teams on the next phase of store design: equipment and fixture specifications. Our store designers are making final edits to our fixture plans this week.

After that is complete, the interior décor team will begin work on their portion of this phase, which includes things like selecting millwork finishes, color palettes, styles, and more! We expect to work on this phase of the design through the end of March and into the middle of April.

When we have final cut sheets (specifications documents), our project management team will release an RFP (request for proposal) for equipment supplies and collect quotes.

Grant Updates:

The City of Bethlehem and the co-op have received no further edit requests from HUD (Department of Housing and Urban Development, which is administering the grant). This is good news and we expect our final application to receive a full recommendation for approval.

Our next steps will be to receive a grant agreement for signature from HUD and the City.

General Manager Hiring Updates:

We are in the final stages of negotiation, and are very close to making an exciting announcement!
