We Are Seeking a Board Member!

The Bethlehem Food Co-Op’s Board of Directors has a vacancy. We welcome interested parties to contact us at info@bethlehemfood.coop!

We are particularly interested in welcoming a new board member who has financial acumen and experience. Projects this person can expect to work on could include:
Evaluating pro forma
Leadership of finance committee
Business negotiations
Participation in leadership of fundraising
Member loans
Traditional financing
Grants
Developing financial policies
The board member will not work alone on all of these projects, but will contribute heavily.
Participating in the board of directors is a significant time commitment. We are in an exciting phase of development that requires time and attention. The board meets monthly for about three hours, committees meet monthly for 1-2 hours and participation in at least one committee is required, event attendance can range from 3-6 hours per week (there are events many, but not all, weeks), and there is independent work between board meetings. The board communicates using Slack, which should be checked at least daily.
All board positions are volunteer positions.
