3rd Annual Co-Op Craft Fair

The Bethlehem Food Co-Op will host its third annual craft fair on Saturday, April 30 from 11am-4pm. The fair will be held at Christ Church UCC (Center & Market Sts. in Bethlehem). Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.

Over thirty high-quality, local artisans will sell their wares. Items for sale will include jewelry, needle crafts, metalsmith, pottery, wood work, essential oils, and more! Local eateries will also provide natural foods and delicious treats for hungry shoppers. Click here to see the full list of vendors!

Craft fair visitors will also have the opportunity to become member-owners of the Co-Op. The first five new members to join the co-op during the event will receive a gift basket filled with Monocacy Coffee, bread from Wayfare Baker, a bottle of wine, red pepper jam, and other treats. The Bethlehem Food Co-Op is owned by the community members it serves, and will support local producers and sustainable, humane, and natural food systems. Member-owners make a one-time $300 equity payment and will receive many perks, such as an equal voice in Co-op operations, opportunities for hands-on involvement, discount days, and access to unique educational opportunities. Payment plans are available to accommodate those who need to divide up the equity payment. The faster the Co-op gains member-owners, the sooner the store can open to serve the community with wonderful food! To join the co-op online, click here.

From 11 am - 12:30 pm author Jon McGoran will be a special guest at the co-op table. An author of ecological thrillers, he is a former communications director for Weavers Way Co-op. He will be on hand to speak with attendees about co-ops and the nation’s food system, as well as to discuss his books Drift, Deadout, and Dust Up. Following his appearance at the craft fair he'll be holding a book signing at the Moravian Book Shop from 1- 3 pm.

A raffle will also be held as part of the event, featuring items donated by vendors and local businesses. Raffle tickets are 1 for $2 or 3 for $5. Ticket purchases of $10 or more can be made with a credit card. Each co-op members that attends, as well as members that sign up that day, will receive three complimentary raffle tickets.
